Ja’Mese Hawkins

Commissioner

Ja’Mese Hawkins is a native of Montgomery, Alabama, and is currently employed as the Branch Manager for the Revenue Commissioner’s office. A product of the Montgomery Public School System, she was recognized by her peers and educators as Miss Lee High during her senior year.

Ja’Mese’s passion for community service began at a young age when she was named Youth of the Year for the Boys and Girls Clubs of South-Central Alabama. Her dedication to service was further recognized by the Montgomery Advertiser as a “Good Neighbor” for her contributions to the community.

Since then, Ja’Mese has continued to serve her community in various roles, including Neighborhood Association President, City League Cheer Coach, and Church of the Highlands Outside Serve Volunteer. She has actively participated in and led community clean-up days, back-to-school drives, and free home-buying seminars. Her commitment to the community earned her several accolades, including the Faces of Montgomery County Award of Distinction from the Montgomery County Commission for outstanding community service, and recognition as a 2023 Mayor’s Young Professional.

Professionally, Ja’Mese is a Licensed Real Estate Broker and a member of both the Montgomery Area Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®. She is driven by her mission to “use her love for God and people, along with her experiences, to help lead people out of where they are and into where they want to be.”

Ja’Mese is a proud mother of two beautiful children, Tristan and Brooklynn, and is a lifelong member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church.
