Angela Calvin is a dedicated community leader, volunteer, and advocate with a longstanding commitment to serving the residents of Montgomery. She has provided exceptional leadership as both President and Secretary of resident councils, where she strengthened communication between residents and housing management, encouraged community engagement, and supported initiatives that enhance the quality of life for families. In recognition of her dedication and service, she was honored as Resident of the Month.
In addition to her work within housing communities, Angela has volunteered with local food banks, schools, and community organizations, assisting children, families, and individuals in need. She has also served as President and Secretary of Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs), promoting educational success and fostering strong partnerships between parents, educators, and the community. Her commitment to service extends to supporting children with disabilities and their families with compassion and care.
Angela is committed to lifelong learning and personal growth. She earned her GED and completed Culinary Arts training through Job Corps. A proud mother of two and grandmother of two, she believes that effective leadership is built on service, compassion, and integrity.
As the Resident Commissioner on the Montgomery Housing Authority Board of Commissioners, Angela is honored to represent residents, strengthen communities, and advocate for opportunities that improve the lives of families throughout Montgomery.
