ROSA PARKS’ HISTORIC HOME AVAILABLE FOR VIEWING
MONTGOMERY, Alabama – The former home of civil rights icon Rosa L. Parks, designated by the National Parks Service, as a National Historic Place is available to be viewed by appointment between the hours of 9:00am-4:00pm M-F. The modest apartment home is located at 634 Cleveland Court, in the Cleveland Court public housing community. Mr. and Mrs. Parks lived in the home from 1951-1957, during Mrs. Parks’ famous stand on a Montgomery bus. Her act of courage sparked the Montgomery Bus Boycott, and the modern civil rights movement.
